Our Team — CF Properties

Michael D. Friedman is the founder of CF Properties and is a managing member or partner of the entities that own the properties currently managed by CF. He is a former practicing South Florida real estate attorney who has been sponsoring commercial real estate investments since 1984. His portfolio has included over 2,200 multi-family apartment units and in excess of 1.25 million square feet of grocery-anchored retail space.

Spencer joined CF in 2017 and oversees all asset management and acquisition efforts on behalf of the firm. He has overseen or participated in transactions (acquisitions, financings, etc.) totaling approximately $500M. Spencer earned his BA in economics from the University of Miami and has an MS in real estate development, with a focus on investment, from Columbia University.

Newton B. Williams has been with CF since 1998 and heads up its property management department. A true real estate professional, Newton oversees all construction, facilities management, and vendor relations for the portfolio.

Julio joined CF in 2022 and brings with him approximately a decade of real estate accounting experience with his most recent role being at Tricera Capital. Julio is currently pursuing a CPA designation.
